The Steam Store is and has been a family-owned business since 1972. The current owners are Nash & Aimee Johnson of Winnemucca. The Steam Store is a commercial/industrial equipment service and supply company. As a family owned business it is important to us to work with and utilize our community as part of our success. As local providers with local employees, we are committed to giving our customers the best experience possible. We strive to provide the best customer service throughout all Northern Nevada. This includes servicing local mining industries and contracted services for nearly 50 years. In January 2021, we opened a second store in Winnemucca. This enables our company to support local business along I-80 further West in a more efficient and timely manner. This expansion created more local jobs in our communities and may include more in the future.

The Steam Store’s core business over the years has been hot and cold pressure washers, fixed and portable heating and cooling.
Manufacturers include and are not limited to Hotsy, Mi-T-M, Rock Hog, Port-a-Cool, Val6, BE Power Equipment, and Manuli Hydraulics. The Steam Store has the distribution rights to most of the mentioned manufactured products and is the service provider for the Northern Nevada Region. The company also supplies a full line of detergents and other cleaning and disinfecting products. With thousands of parts in stock, the Steam Store prides itself with its service and backs its motto, “We Service What We Sell.” Our technical service team will provide either service at the store or come to you with a fully stocked service truck for your convenience. Adaptation and growth are an important part of the company’s business. The Steam Store has taken the COVID-19 pandemic in stride and is currently helping Northern Nevada businesses stay open and maintain regulatory standards as we move forward together. The Steam Store created a portable disinfecting mister, along with one of its products Vital Oxide. It recently won the Bronze Level Award for Best Customer Service – during COVID-19.
